Principal Partners is a citywide initiative led by Bank of America, Boston Public Schools, the Boston Plan for Excellence, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the City of Boston that brings leaders into BPS schools for a half day of principal shadowing, followed by a lunch discussion to spark collaboration; since its 2025 relaunch, it has connected 164 Partners with 158 schools across the city.
Building core financial literacy—budgeting, saving, credit, and basic investing—is essential to students’ long‑term success. To ensure every student gains these skills, the Chamber Foundation and Boston Public Schools are creating a shared vision for high‑quality coursework, including hands‑on experiences that connect students with financial professionals for real‑world insight and early exposure to economic opportunity.
By partnering with educators and school leaders, you help bridge real‑world experience with classroom learning—creating opportunities that expand students’ horizons and deepen community impact.
Give students the skills, confidence, and exposure they need to thrive in college, careers, and civic life. Your engagement helps build a stronger, more prepared talent pipeline for the region.
When young people succeed, Boston succeeds. Your involvement contributes to a more equitable, economically vibrant region where all students have the opportunity to build lasting financial stability and career success.
The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Foundation will transform the lives of current and future residents by leveraging the Commonwealth’s untapped talent, championing small businesses, and creating tomorrow’s leaders in support of a 21st century economy. The Commonwealth’s talent across all industries has always been our competitive advantage. Now, we must nurture and invest in every person and community to ensure a successful future. The impact of the Foundation will be transformative for people and employers, resulting in economic security for residents and making our region’s workforce the most representative and most skilled in the U.S.
